Peter Trethewey (Chief Executive Officer)

Peter is well known to many in the sector in his role as Manager of the Victorian Spinal Cord Service (VSCS) at Austin Health (2000 – 2007) Peter has had an extensive career in social work and human services management with Austin Health. He worked as a senior clinician and team leader before being appointed to the business unit leadership position.

Peter is very familiar with the work of AQA through the continued partnership and support provided by our Info rmation Peer Support Team at Royal Talbot and the in-home and personal attendant care services provided through AQA Qualcare . In addition Peter served on the Board as a Director from 1992 to 2004 with four years as Chairman.

Peter’s in-depth knowledge of issues impacting those with spinal cord injury is exemplary and, combined with his strong technical and professional reputation in the sector, will ensure AQA continues to meet the changing needs of our members and plays a key role in supporting individuals affected by spinal cord injury.
