Disability Respite & Recreation Expo

Disability Respite & Recreation Expo is being planned for 2011 at Springvale Town Hall on Tuesday 5th April from 10am to 2pm. This will be the fourth year that the Expo has been held in the Southern Metropolitan Region. Feedback from parents and carers who have attended past Expos has been very enthusiastic, and highlights the need for this event to continue.

Over 35 respite and recreation agencies are represented, providing a range of services from in-home support, home host programs and facility-based respite to recreation services such as camps, supported holidays, arts and sporting opportunities. The Expo provides a terrific opportunity for parents and carers to meet with service providers as well as having a chat with other people caring for someone with a disability.
