A.Q.A. Qualcare was established in 1991, and continues to provide quality support to people with a disability in their own homes and local communities across Victoria. AQA Victoria Ltd specialises in working with people who have a spinal cord injury, however over the years AQA Qualcare has grown and gained the skills and knowledge to support people with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.
AQA’s mission:
"We are a member based organisation and a leader in the provision of specialised support services. We enable people affected by physical disability to attain maximum independence while supporting those who support them."
This statement accurately reflects the valuable work that is carried out by the AQA Qualcare team. Our dedicated and professional Service Coordinators and Administration Staff work in partnership with clients to devise a care plan that is tailored to people’s individual support needs and lifestyle. This includes a recruitment process that allows the client to interview and select Disability Support Workers. As a result, the service employs a diverse range of people in the role of Disability Support Worker to deliver quality personal care and support to clients.
AQA Victoria Ltd has a Quality Improvement program designed to continuously improve systems within the organisation, training and support for staff and ultimately service delivery. AQA Qualcare complies with Department of Human Services regulations and guidelines for best practice when developing policies and procedures. The Disability Service Standards provide the framework for service provision.
