Many of our clients are in regional and country areas of Victoria, and training is therefore organised in these areas several times a year. We employ professional experienced people to conduct our training and regularly re-visit the program to ensure that it is up to date. |

AQA Qualcare offers many training opportunities to improve your on-the-job skills including Back Care/Manual Handling, Bowel/Urinary Care and also First Aid and Fire Safety training. In conjunction with external registered training organisations, we are very pleased to now be able to offer you the opportunity of completing an accredited course in Disability Work that is nationally recognised.
The Government Traineeship system has given us the opportunity to assist you in gaining a formal qualification in the field of disability work. The Department of Human Services has made Certificate IV in Community Services Disability Work the benchmark for their employees working in the disability field. Although not introduced as yet, standards are soon to be set into this industry whereby all Attendant Carers in the disability sector must have a formal qualification. You may be aware that this has been introduced into the Aged Care sector. Introducing this training is a way for us to prepare you for the future if you are choosing to remain employed in this field.
Do not be discouraged if you do not meet all of these criteria, as there are exceptions to
these rules.
